Upcoming Events
We are part of the Single Gourmet network around the country. The New York City branch started it all, and they have events every week for all ages. The Rhode Island, Providence singles branch is just getting off the ground with events every month or two, so far mostly for over 50’s. We are looking for a variety of new members to expand this and have more fun! An event is usually a dinner at a RI restaurant, but as we get going lunch on a boat tour of Newport harbor or winery tours and lunches are expected to happen.
The emphasis is on meeting interesting, successful Rhode Island singles in a relaxed atmosphere, a good way to enjoy an evening out with all the work done for you. The food and atmosphere are good, which is easy to do in this state. We have lots of good restaurants!
We ask for an annual membership which covers the cost of the website, newsletters, and time negotiating with restaurants. The ability to pay annual fees does contribute to our membership definition of “successful” but there are no commissions for recruiters. All the money goes to organizing events! The singles dinner club events themselves are at cost, so we have to cover overhead somehow.
GUESTS A member can bring one guest at a ten dollar surcharge. There is a button on the right for members and a similar one for guests. Please include the member's name. This can be placed in the "instructions to seller" box.
